Terms of Service

Last updated 15 August 2026

These terms govern your use of the Datakoot websites, the keyless data servers at *.datakoot.com, the MCP endpoints, and the Datakoot Chrome extensions (together, the "Services"). By using the Services you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

1. What Datakoot provides

Datakoot is a hosted access layer to public, official-source data — delivered in a form AI agents can use directly. You are paying for the service (hosting, uptime, normalization, and delivery), not for the underlying facts, which are drawn from public and government sources.

2. Free and paid plans

The free tier allows a limited number of keyless calls per day, metered by IP address, with no signup. Paid plans (Pro and Team) remove that limit for the seats they cover and are billed monthly through our payment provider, Polar, which acts as the merchant of record. Your first month is free; you may cancel at any time and access continues to the end of the paid period. Prices are shown on the pricing page and may change with notice.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to: use the Services for anything unlawful; attempt to break, overload, or circumvent rate limits or access controls; resell raw bulk data as a competing dataset; or use the Services in a way that violates the terms of the upstream data sources. Automated agent access is expected and welcome, within the plan limits.

4. Data sources and accuracy

Data originates from third-party and government sources, including U.S. government open-data programs, the World Bank, OSV, the European Central Bank, and public domain and DNS registration records. Where a source requires attribution (for example World Bank and OSV under CC-BY, or ECB data), that attribution is carried in the responses and must be preserved. Domain and company registration data (WHOIS/RDAP) is provided for lookup and verification use; you may not redistribute it as a standalone commercial dataset.

Datakoot does not guarantee that any data is accurate, complete, current, or fit for a particular purpose. It is provided for informational use. Do not rely on it as the sole basis for legal, financial, security, medical, or safety-critical decisions.

5. No warranty

The Services are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted or error-free.

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Datakoot and its operator will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, or for lost profits or data, arising from your use of the Services. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or fifty U.S. dollars.

7. Changes and termination

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Services, and may update these terms. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms. We may suspend access that violates these terms.
